Laura, a born and bred Kentucky girl, is a singer/actor with roots in musical theatre, jazz, and classical music. She was fortunate to study with the likes of Marjorie Halbert, James R. Wigginton, Jen Waldman, Dominick Amendum, and Broadway star Lindsay Mendez. After college, Laura started her journey at Disney World as Ariel in the “Voyage of the Little Mermaid” show.  Passionate about travel, she performed with Cat II Productions in Germany and lived in India teaching songwriting workshops, while learning the indigenous vocal and dance styles of West Bengal. She now teaches and gigs around the city, freelancing in the jazz scene.

Laura believes music isn’t just about finding fame, but rather about the art of storytelling and the power it has to communicate meaningful messages to the world. Laura is patient, exuberant, and passionate about teaching and creating music with others. Practically speaking, she understands the ins and outs of the audition world. She seeks to tap into the individual needs and passions of each student to bring out what they can uniquely contribute to the world musically.
